The Sterhuis motto; "There is no easy way from the earth to the stars" symbolises the dedication and perseverance with which we have developed, and continue to nurture, our family estate. Since purchasing the farm in 1980, we have embarked on an unswerving mission of upgrading the infrastructure and establishing the most appropriate plantings of noble cultivars and clones on the various slopes, each offering to the vines its unique earthly idiosyncrasies and climatic characteristics in which to prosper.
Product Features
- The grapes came from a 24-year-old Chardonnay vineyard, it was whole bunch pressed, cold settled and fermented in older French oak barrels.
- Winemaking: After 6 months on the lees in barrel, the wine was racked, stabilized and prepared for secondary fermentation in the bottle. It was bottled in September 2013 for the secondary fermentation, after which it spent 26 months on the lees in bottle.
- Tasting Notes: The nose is clean but complex with notes of citrus, minerals, marmite and a fine oak complexity. The palate is alive with fine bubbles caressing the palate, the nose follows through on the mouth with refreshingly dry citrus, butterscotch, minerally finish.

Humble bragging. How is this still a thing?
You know the type. They'll say something along the lines of "I really miss my old Chevy Spark. This Audi SUV is so much harder to park."
Rest assured they don't miss that Chevy AT ALL. They just want you to know that they spent truckloads of cash on the latest Audi, but they want to come across as really casual because somehow that makes them cooler. Or something.
You'd think the complete lack of any complimentary responses would put an end to this type of self-appreciation, but if anything it's happening more and more.
We'd love to come up with an effective solution to it (honestly, it's what the world needs) but we're waaay too busy running a successful eCommerce company to actually invest the time.
