Since the late 1400s, The Merchants have been sailing to the Cape of Storms to find fame and fortune. By 1652, the Peninsula was renamed “The Cape of Good Hope”. But the reality remained – more than half of the ships wrecked in the pursuit of finding land. However, once through the storms, the reward was well worth the journey: the climate was perfect for cultivating vines and making the very best wine. Today, the journey in and out is less perilous, but we still celebrate The Merchants, the men and women who risked their lives to bring us wines from the far corners of the world. A story of travel, from vine to table.
Product Features:
The Merchant is a smooth red blend that perfectly combines the more masculine structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the soft, subtle tannins of Merlot. This wine shows an abundance of cassis, ripe red berries and hints of dark chocolate on the nose and a well-rounded finish.

In the Vineyard
Grapes were sourced from vineyards in the Swartland region. These vineyards are trellised and grow on Koffieklip (Coffee Stone) and Oakleaf soils.

You know the type. They'll say something along the lines of "I really miss my old Chevy Spark. This Audi SUV is so much harder to park."
Rest assured they don't miss that Chevy AT ALL. They just want you to know that they spent truckloads of cash on the latest Audi, but they want to come across as really casual because somehow that makes them cooler. Or something.
You'd think the complete lack of any complimentary responses would put an end to this type of self-appreciation, but if anything it's happening more and more.
We'd love to come up with an effective solution to it (honestly, it's what the world needs) but we're waaay too busy running a successful eCommerce company to actually invest the time.
