About

The success behind Baleia Wines lies in the location of our vineyard. Baleia is the only winery on the Lower Duiwenhoksrivier in Vermaaklikheid, which makes our wines unique in style. Baleia winery crafts premium wines that reflect a Mediterranean lifestyle and bring you closer to the vastness of the ocean and memories of the beach. With an abundance of limestone in the area, the chardonnay coming from this winery is truly remarkable. A fan of Chardonnay? Definitely give this premium wine a try. 2017 was a fantastic vintage for the region and the Chardonnay is holding up beautifully. Drink now or cellar if you want to experiment.

Product Features

This Chardonnay exudes ripe tropical fruit notes, dried peaches and charming hints of butterscotch and toffee. The wine is soft in the mouth, shows citrus on the mid-palate and a lingering finish of lemon drops with a fine trace of oak.

Humble bragging. How is this still a thing?

You know the type. They'll say something along the lines of "I really miss my old Chevy Spark. This Audi SUV is so much harder to park."

Rest assured they don't miss that Chevy AT ALL. They just want you to know that they spent truckloads of cash on the latest Audi, but they want to come across as really casual because somehow that makes them cooler. Or something.

You'd think the complete lack of any complimentary responses would put an end to this type of self-appreciation, but if anything it's happening more and more.

We'd love to come up with an effective solution to it (honestly, it's what the world needs) but we're waaay too busy running a successful eCommerce company to actually invest the time.

Did you know we're also getting our PhDs on the side? No big deal.
