The KING Forged ONE LENGTH irons debut as COBRA’s first ever single-length forged iron set. Inspired by rising PGA star Bryson DeChambeau.
Proper setup includes foot positioning, spine angle and ball position, and many other variables. These variables change as you switch between longer and shorter length clubs, causing more room for error. With one setup and one swing you can simplify the entire process. Every player has their favorite club and for many, it's a 7-iron. "I felt like there was some validity to the concept of single length irons, and wanted to give them a try. What I didn't want to do however was hit a pitching wedge that was the same length as a seven iron, so I decided to build a set of traditional length irons from the GW to the 8 iron and go single length from the 7 iron to the 4 iron. I am a 4 handicap, but I am 52 now and thought this might help my game. I can tell you that I am a big fan of the single length irons from the 7 to the 4 iron. I hit those irons consistently better now, and was surprised at the distance increase and consistency I've experienced. Maybe the single length irons for the entire set are a good fit for some, but for me, the combination of traditional length clubs to the 8 iron and single length thereafter have been a great fit! I had to build my set by buying individual clubs and crossing over from the Cobra Forged Tour to the Cobra Forged One Length halfway through the set, but its been worth it. I wish they'd provide a "conbo" set of irons in this configuration, but either way, I would recommend this set up for low handicappers who want to dip a toe into the one length concept but also maintain the traditional length for the shorter irons."- Wayne
