Aromadough® A one of a kind, completely unique touch sensation!
What is it?
Aromadough® is a global first, truly unique – 100% local, handmade product that combines the healing properties of aromatherapy oils with the tactile release of stress balls and playdough. Simply squeeze, roll, or mould the ball to benefit from the healing powers of essential oils, touch therapy and colour therapy!
*NB: The oils used in Aromadough® are safe for use by pregnant woman but if in doubt leave it out*
How long does it last?
- It can sit on a shelf – sealed – for at least 12 to 14 months.
- Once opened the unit will last as quickly as its used.
- 5-10 minutes of play a day will yield 2-3 months
- Once a week will yield 3-4 months
- Used occasionally – over 6 months
- Used all day every day – a few days
Where are Aromadough’s oils sourced from?
The difference in Aromadough® is that completely pure oils from trusted sources are used in the product. Leigh Hind, the owner, has found fair, responsible partnerships with suppliers in the various countries where the essential oils originate. Most of the oils are from Germany, followed by India, Ethiopia and Morocco.
Can Aromadough® be refreshed by adding more oil?
It can be refreshed slightly with a little bit of glycerine or Vaseline. Adding anything else will deconstruct it. Washing hands before play also prolongs the life.
Important things to remember;
Keep the tub tightly closed between uses. Even though Aromadough® has a lot of coconut oil and cocoa butter – if you leave it out it will dry out over time.
Is it edible?
Yes, but it tastes terrible. Like any playdough - the salt content might cause a runny tummy if the whole unit is eaten
